Terms of Use

Last updated: March 4, 2026

Overview

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of ReminderOS, an iOS app developed and operated by ReminderOS ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using ReminderOS you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

ReminderOS is distributed through the Apple App Store and is subject to Apple's usage rules. As required by Apple, these Terms also incorporate Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) by reference — see the Apple EULA for full details.

The Service

ReminderOS is a personal productivity app that lets you create, schedule, and manage reminders on your iPhone or iPad. Core features include:

Account & Sign In

ReminderOS uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. By signing in you agree to Apple's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account.

Subscriptions and Payments

Some features require a ReminderOS Pro subscription, purchased through the Apple App Store.

Your Content & iCloud

Your reminder content (titles, descriptions, schedules) is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We do not access, read, or control your reminder data stored in iCloud.

You retain full ownership of the content you create. You are responsible for managing and backing up your own iCloud data. Reminder data stored in iCloud is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Push Notifications

ReminderOS delivers reminders via Apple Push Notification service (APNs). You can enable or disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → ReminderOS. Disabling notifications will prevent reminders from being delivered to your device.

Optional Calendar Sync

ReminderOS offers an optional Calendar sync feature that can create, update, and remove calendar events for reminders you choose to sync.

Intellectual Property

ReminderOS, its name, logo, design, and source code are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property other than a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's usage rules.

Disclaimer of Warranties

ReminderOS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will be delivered at exactly the scheduled time (delivery depends on iOS, network conditions, and Apple's push notification infrastructure).

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including missed reminders, data loss, or service interruptions. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Third-Party Services

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

Apple as Third-Party Beneficiary

You acknowledge that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce them against you. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's App Store terms, Apple's terms will govern with respect to your use of the App Store.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of ReminderOS after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
